The graphic above gives you an idea of the positive impact of changes you can make in your life and the associated effort to make the change (as perceived by me for the general public).
A few notes:
- This is not scientific. This it meant to show the effort/impact of changes relative to one another and was built from my subjective perceptions. Don’t read too much into the exact placement of the points.
- The Impact axis is at the bottom and all changes are above the line, as they all have some level of positive impact. I didn’t want it to look like any points would actually have a negative impact.
- Points were placed relative to the Effort axis based on what practices I believe are likely common or uncommon to most people, who the change might apply to, and how much control a person would have in making the change.
